Location: Loyola University Health System Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services Operations Manager (Second Shift) for a 576 Bed, 2.2 million cleanable square foot Academic Medical Center Maywood, IL. Facilities are located in multiple, inter-connected buildings on 16-square block campus, including School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Out Patient Center, Cancer Center, Office Buildings, and Medical Center. New construction projects ongoing. The ES Management Table of Organization is comprised of 1 ES GM, 2 ES Operations Managers, 6 AM Shift managers, and 6 PM Shift Managers, plus Resource Managers for Human Resources, Training and Accounting and Administrative Positions for Payroll, Human Resources, and Quality. This position will be responsible for managing employees that are Union, Company paid AND Hospital paid hourly ES employees. This is a second shift position with typical hours from 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. Overall Success Factors: Operations Management position reporting to the General Manager. Candidate?s ability to manage large location, handle multiple priorities, and assume ownership for departmental initiatives is critical. Successful candidate will flourish in constant customer, client, and employee contact. Candidate?s ability to quickly grasp situations and logically progress through solutions is important. High customer / clinical orientation is critical to success. Ability to refine systems, to ensure sustained effort of achieving standards is essential. Must be tenacious, have focused follow through, and be highly visible within the areas of responsibility. Candidate must be a team player, seeking solutions from multiple shifts and multiple people. Must have a desire to work with and participate in hospital?s improvement processes. Strong written and verbal communications skills are crucial. Key Mandatory?s: 1. Direct and mentor one or more front line managers 2. Responsible for all ES services on shift. 3. Key contact for all ES activity on shift 4. Follow Sodexo CFL including establishment and management of Web of Influence for all departments in each building. 5. Schedule self to maintain proper, agreed cycle of key contact rounds 6. Oversee any and all major functions assigned 7. Management to Sodexo standards all supplies, equipment and assets. 8. Manage responsible areas to Sodexo Gold Check and UOS Standards 9. Ensure development, appraisal and interim plans for self and direct reports are maintained in Sodexo Talent Development or other tracking means 10. Establish, systematize, track and design improvement for agreed metrics and achieve results 11. Review with direct report contents of Annual Appraisal and establish goals, metrics and gain approval for Annual Program of Work 12. Serve in place of General Manager as requested and needed 13. Actively serve on and participate in activities of the Environmental Services Cabinet of individuals that report directly to the General Manager. Position Summary : Provides supervision for custodial services at account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. Implements business practices in order to uphold Company mission and values. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit contribution through the implementation of services and creation of opportunities for growth.
