The Opportunity
The number of Health and Safety Roles available in the Coal Mining Industry continue to grow as current operations expand and new sites are developed. Brazen Recruitment is focused on providing the best candidates for the job when they are needed!
The Role
You will ensure and report all mining activities and conditions are compliant with legislative and site requirements. This is achieved by:
- Implementing current HSEC systems, highlighting areas of improvement and updating accordingly
- Liaise with all divisions of mine sites (i.e. Tech Services, Production, Contractors, etc) to communicate current policies and seek assistance with implementing change
- Superintendents/Managers, Lead a team of safety, training and environmental officers to ensure commitment to these areas are in line with government and mine guidelines
The Requirements
To be successful in positions, you will ideally have:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Health Safety and Environment
- A solid career history in a open cut or underground coal environment and knowledge of NSW or QLD Coal Legislation
- Capability to develop strong working relationships with all sectors of the mine team achieved through effective written and verbal communication skills
