Job Overview:
Supplier Risk Management Monitoring (SRMM) is the organization within EORC that is responsible for partnering with business stakeholders to effectively manage and monitor supplier risk in accordance with the Firm's global Supplier Risk Management Program. While these organizations are based out of NY, this role is for a Vice President in Hong Kong location and will serve as the liaison between NY and the other regions.

The SRMM Vice President will be responsible for managing the regional day-to-day operations of SRMM. High-level SRMM activities would include coordinating across different stakeholder groups both within Morgan Stanley and externally, understanding regulatory requirements and the impact of regulatory changes on SRMM's policies, ensuring key individuals within the Service Risk Management program are identified and trained, escalating issues as necessary, and providing ongoing thought leadership through process and policy improvement recommendations.

Key responsibilities:

SRMM Compliance:
• Provide day-to-day coordination and management support for the Firm's Supplier Risk Management Program
• Ensure SRM monitoring programs encompass all necessary due diligence including financial, reputational, and regulatory requirements specific to the local region.
• Review documentation used when renegotiating contracts.
• Spearhead the coordination of issues across the different Control Groups and the resolution of those issues that are relevant to the regions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to mitigate supplier risk, including development of contingency and supplier transition plans.
• Escalate issues to the appropriate level including Firm's Oversight committees as necessary.
• Primary interface to Business Units providing guidance, training, and escalation support
• Provides Quality Assurance reviews for iPRAMs generated in Asia

Stakeholder Management and Support:
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the regions.
• Provide process and / or policy recommendations based on changes in the regulatory environment.
• Assist various groups in the planning of their respective new and recurring supplier assessments, ensuring that efforts are not duplicated across the groups.
• Provide project management support for the identification, integration and training of new Service Risk Managers (SRMs) in the regions.
• Collaborate with businesses to periodically review and risk rank suppliers and/or services based on risk scores - apply judgmental overrides as appropriate.
• Monitor and report on compliance to the SRM program.

Continuous Improvement:
• Provide process improvement recommendations to the Control Groups and Oversight function.
• Interface with key stakeholders as needed to coordinate the continuous refinement of SRMM policies, guidelines, procedures and standards, as well as help ensure proposed changes are vetted, documented and communicated.

Internal Audit Regulatory Relationship Management:
• Serve as liaison with internal Audit related to Supplier Risk Management Monitoring
• Assist internal audit in compliance testing and reporting.
• Help answer questions related to regulatory compliance.
• Assist in remediation of audit or regulatory findings specific to the regions.
• SRMM lead for input to regulatory requirements liaising with Technology Information Risk, MSBIC, Compliance amongst others
o For example:
o CBRC and Guangdong provincial CBRC
o Bank of Japan and SRO
o MAS (Singapore)
o SEBI Outsourcing Guidelines

Skills Required:
• Minimum five years prior experience in vendor management, procurement, sourcing or related functions
• Ability to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders. To clarify perspectives, build consensus, identify incentives, and resolve conflicts amongst different stakeholders
• Analytical skills to handle and solve complex business problems with creative solutions
• Ability to drive changes throughout the organization
• Ability to develop and present process improvement suggestions to management tea
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements

Skills Desired:
Additional skills beneficial, but not required:
• Experience in a previous Financial Services firm a plus.
• Understand risk identification, risk mitigation, and risk documentation.
• MBA or similar graduate degree preferred.
• Foreign language skills a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
