EPIC Application Specialist - TAPESTRY

Analyze complex business processes and functional requirements, develop business cases, provide client support during KP HealthConnect system developmentand implementation,and develop and maintain service level agreements. Essential Functions: - Independently initiates, identifies and coordinates the analysis of complex client needs in project areas such as: new business operating models, innovative approaches to business and IT solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality and operational readiness assessment. - Identifies opportunities for increasing business efficiency through improved manual and automated process systems. - Develops the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective solutions that support client business processes and functional requirements. - Evaluates existing applications that could address client requirements and develops recommendations where appropriate. - Evaluates alternative operational efficiencies. - Plans, coordinates and conducts the analysis of client business processes and functional requirements and the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information. - Develops cross-initiative integration plans. Identifies other initiatives that exist and ensures that efforts are not duplicated. Supports a variety of applications. - Consults on the integration of application systems into the work environment, regarding their operational and training implications. - Provides leadership direction to clients in consulting, planning, marketing and training of multiple, complex automated systems. - Maintains current knowledge of application systems, interfaces, reporting processes, and data capture. May support a variety of applications. - Coordinates ongoing application support with the various IT technical areas to ensure continued application usage and success. - Maintains current knowledge on health care industry, regulations, KP and KP-IT business strategies. - Develops test plans. Provides product expertise to client groups, delivers presentations, demonstrations training for application systems. - Coordinates installation first-use of new applications. - May provide specialized support to a specific business area. - Serves as a single point of contact for the resolution of client issues. May maintain strategic user tables. - Chooses, recommends, creates /or adopts techniques, standards and methodologies to apply. Make recommendations for improvements to KP standards/methodologies. - Advises clients on the consequences of actions. - Communicates risks ensures understanding of these risks. Jointly develops risk assessment of plan with client. - Provides on-going communication. - Acts as project lead in the coordination of solution development the implementation of the final product/service. - Acts as a liaison between business clients technical staff and/or with development staff throughout the development life cycle. - May develop project plans. Identifies coordinates with other project managers and implements schedule deadlines as appropriate. Manages common resource demands. - Provides on-going project management status reporting at all levels. - Perform other duties as required. - Job may require supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - 3-5 years of application implementation and installation experience or healthcare operations experience required. - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience required. - Vehicle and CA driver's license required. - Application certification required. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Utilization Management and Referrals.
