SUMMARY The incumbent is responsible to investigate the application of a driver who is coming into the JB Hunt orientation, in terms of verifying past employment, criminal history and driving records. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Contact companies, schools, governmental institutions, personal references, professional references, medical centers, religious organizations, non profit organizations to verify employment or unemployment. 2. Contact drivers and obtain the information of document needed to complete their application. 3. Order, review and document results for DAC employment services. 4. Document faxes received from companies. 5. Conference calls with drivers to various companies. 6. Calculate the drivers experience or unemployed periods. 7. Send drivers to the confirming or scheduling department when they need to be confirmed or to be rescheduled. 8. Cross reference the drivers written application with the information that we have in our computer files making sure that there are no additional jobs, accidents, moving violations or other important information that needs to be verified. 9. Draw up and send the drivers Addendum forms to the drivers at the terminal. 10. Review documents as needed. 11. Communicate with terminal personnel. 12. Send and retrieve files to and from the scanning department. 13. Send the drives completed application to the senior investigators for quality control. 14. Communicate with the travel department to order the drivers travel information. 15. Update the current drivers report list. 16. Check on criminals that have been ordered but not received. 17. Work ahead on applicants who are scheduled for orientation one week out and two weeks out. Verify employment, driving record and criminal record. Ensure all needed document are obtained and that applicant meets minimum requirements. 18. Call and deny drivers who do not qualify and cancel or order their travel arrangements if necessary. 19. Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
