Roles and Responsibilities:
· Leads maintenance and reliability assessments such as Maintenance and Reliability Model gap analysis, RCM studies, Wiebull Analysis, and SAP data analysis at manufacturing sites.
· Serves as a maintenance and reliability tool owner and subject matter expert for North America. Examples include Meridium, IHS, SAP etc.
· Maintains the Maintenance and Reliability Engineer Toolbox with relevant tools and data. Supports engineering and craft development to ensure that personnel have the right skills and tools to effectively and efficiently perform their role.
· Analyzes maintenance and reliability metrics and other data to identify site and systemic opportunities. Proactively engages with MESA equipment experts, Tech Teams and sites when opportunities are identified.
· Manages Reliability/MCI Program for North America by coordinating the project justification process, tracking progress on execution and validating expected benefits.
· Represents Manufacturing on the IT steering team to establish an overall strategy for core reliability and maintenance IT tools.
· Conducts root cause failure analysis and/or incident investigations on site reliability issues or incidents.
· Develops Operational Excellence guidelines and model procedures to support GAIS. Supports gap analysis and action plan development. Conducts OE audits as Global Asset Integrity Standard leader.
· Participates in industry organizations such as SMRP, NPRA, HBR to stay informed of new technology, industry trends and practices.
Qualifications
· Management experience
· Minimum of 15 years of maintenance and/or reliability engineering experience in the refining, petrochemical or chemical process industries.
· Bachelor's degree in engineering. Preferably in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical.
· Must demonstrate a working knowledge of all commonly used maintenance and reliability engineering practices and tools such as Meridium, Wiebull Analysis, RCM, and FMEA.
· Critical analytical skills are needed to effectively evaluate plant maintenance and reliability performance using internal and external benchmark data.
· Must have general knowledge of project management, maintenance and reliability management, and root cause analysis.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
· Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and SAP to acquire performance data and organize the data into useful information.
· Experience in developing and/or applying industry and company standards in the plant environment.
· Experienced in the use of reliability tools such as Meridium, Wiebull Analysis, RCM, and FMEA.
