Equities Infrastructure Manager (AVP) - Singapore

This AVP level opportunity exists with one of the world's best known Investment Banks with a storng prescence in Asia Pacific. Their global Equities business is industry leading and with an ambitious growth strategy, it is supported by award winning technology proving a full spectrum of solutions front to back. Their global Equities IT team is run from Singapore and provides trading connectivity and services to over 60 trading venues globally. This role sits within the RTB function working closely with the global application teams and has the goal of delivering an efficient and stable infrastructure.

As Infrastructure Manager for the APAC Equities team you will have full responsibility for the infrastructure estate management covering Cash, Connectivity, Futures and Derivatives. The infrastructure estate consists of over 1,000 servers and their related storage, operating systems and databases. You will be responsible for managing across reviews, risk reduction, planning and forecasting and automation. It will be your role to understand the infrastructure design and capacity management in order to maximize infrastructure estate efficiency which will include storage allocation and decomissioning of systems. You will be a key representative for Equities IT on a number of IT wide initiatives and ensure the improvement of processes, tools and procedures, aligning them to industry best practice.

Suitable candidates should have proven broad experience across Infrastructure capacity and performance. You should have good experience with both Unix and Windows including enterprise class servers and blades hardware and operating systems. You should have strong knowledge of storage technologies (NAS, SAN and DAS) with excellent experience of network technologies including switches, firewalls, routers and load balancers. You will be responsible for managing a number of small estate projects so project management skills would be beneficial. You must have experience working in a large enterprise environment, ideally Investment Banking and experience with Equities and Connectivity would an advantage.
