IB Marketing consists of 130 Marketing professionals providing advisory, planning and creative execution services to support the IB’s client marketing activities, helping UBS meet its strategic business objectives.
Using the full range of marketing tools and channels, the team produces targeted, timely and cost-effective solutions, delivered within UBS Group’s legal, operational and brand guidelines.
The team’s work involves:

The team works closely with its client businesses, UBS Group’s Communications and Branding functions and external vendors. The Business Area Marketing Strategist is accountable for the strategic planning, marketing development and delivery of programs to support the Business’s strategic goals.
Your job…
- Will be physically located within the Global Equities business and report directly into the Global Head of Equities Marketing Strategy, with dotted lines into the Global Line Business Heads for your business areas
- Is to take full ownership for ensuring Marketing is integrated within the business management process by developing, in partnership with the leaders of The Global Equities business, the annual marketing strategy, marketing plans and a robust budget to support their business strategy
- Is to advise and support your clients, develop their Business’s marketing product strategies and roadmap for all marketing activities that the Marketing Execution team deliver against throughout the year
- Is in close working relationship with all other marketing functions and in particular the Marketing execution team to support the project management and delivery of all necessary activity identified in the Marketing strategy and ensure a holistic approach to our clients’ business needs.
- Is to co-ordinate effectively and seamlessly between the business and the Marketing Execution team to ensure everything we do is consistent with the Investment Bank’s business priorities, adding real value year on year
- Is in co-ordination with the Marketing Business Management team to deliver comprehensive performance data, including appropriate return on investment information, to our clients, controllers and Corporate Centre
Requirements
- A professional marketer with extensive experience in a wide range of traditional, digital and direct marketing within the Equities and Equity Derivatives business environment – with particular focus on electronic trading, low latency trading and or quantitative trading and Equity Derivatives products – specifically structured products including Certificates, Warrants, ETNs, Wrappers, “Hard Assets” and etc.
- Reasonably acquainted with the spectrum of equities products and services for your business area, as well as the overarching market structure environment and capital markets trends, so that your consultation is reflective of the evolving needs of the Equities business
- Familiar with the prevailing regulatory environment with respect to rules for communications with the public, in order to be able to appropriately steer programs in a manner that is compliant and responsible
- Experienced in analyzing, developing and implementing all types of marketing research
- A successful consultative Project Manager, with demonstrable experience in executive level initiatives, complex problem analysis and resolution, handling multiple projects of various sizes simultaneously to deadline and on budget
- An excellent communicator, with strong writing and message development skills, proven organizational, presentation and analytical skills
- A strategic and creative thinker, able to generate ideas and concepts and influence at senior management levels
