Equities Product Controller recruitment
Role description
This role will support both the front and back office and also the central finance team with daily profit and loss reporting for the Equity Derivatives desk. You will perform investigations into anomalies in trading activities and daily rates testing. This role will also involve identifying and implementing process and systems improvements and other ad hoc project work.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Performing daily rates processes including rates testing
- Completion of daily PL reporting and associated investigations into variances
- Contributing to new system and process projects in the implementation phase of the desk and on an on-going basis as the desk is established
- Ensuring that daily reconciliations for the product systems and General ledger accounts are performed and reviewed
- Provide a back up to other team members in the Middle Office for other products and associated tasks
Previous relevant experience is essential with demonstrated expertise in performing daily rates testing for equities products. Successful candidates will ideally have Accounting qualifications. You will have strong mathematical skills, strong investigation and problem solving skills and the ability to think laterally. You will take a flexible and professional approach to work and have a collegiate approach to working as part of a team.
