Equity Analyst

My client, a leading independent asset manager, is looking to strengthen their fund management team within their well respected and growing global equity franchise.

The successful candidate will have a strong and demonstrable fundamental analytical background, ideally in a global context.  You will be required to cover a range of sectors which will be based upon your previous experience and aspirations, whilst contributing to and fitting in with the existing team and process. In return, the right individual could well be offered portfolio management responsibilities in time.

You must also fully appreciate, and be able to clearly articulate, the robust house process and philosophy whilst also recognising the significance of investor communication which is required to properly service the retail market.

This is an excellent prospect and affords the successful candidate to ultimately make what they want of the opportunity with the right drive and ambition.

The broad requirements are:

• Minimum 2:1 Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in Maths/ Finance / Economics / Accounting or other relevant discipline

• Ideally CFA qualified or working towards it

• Fundamental equity research background within the buy-side, with demonstrable experience in covering utilities stock

• Strong analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of equity markets

• Familiar with portfolio construction, performance measurement and risk metrics

• Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills

This is a hands on and dynamic role; the ideal candidate will have at least 5 years analytical experience in asset management and will report to the Head of Global Equities. In return you will be remunerated competitively and enjoy a challenging and fulfilling role with excellent long-term career prospects as a key part of an already successful business.
