Equity Derivatives – Senior Application Developer - eTrading Developer
The role
Dedicated, highly-skilled technologist required to join a development team building out MarkitWire connectivity and integrate with the derivatives trade management system. The project is key to the enrichment of our electronic affirmation capability to cover more products and trading actions according to industry and regulatory deadlines (Dodd Frank real time reporting)
Key Responsibilities
• Take ownership for the design and build of new products and trade workflows.
• Partner with Operations to drive the clearing transformation.
• Work closely with team lead, share in responsibilities and own issues to delivery.
• Contributing to a large code base.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly talented and driven hybrid BA/technologist who has a track record of delivering outstanding solutions in an investment bank or other fast-paced industry.
Essential skills
• Typically 5-10 years hands-on experience and in-depth expertise of Java.
• Track record of working on distributed systems and service-oriented architecture with complex system interactions.
• Strong understanding of financial derivatives and securities (transaction processing / order management , connectivity to Markit / DTCC)
• Strong experience in messaging protocols - FIX / FPML
• Strong relational database experience and SQL.
• Experience of JMS and AMQ messaging.
• Strong communication and team-working skills, business facing experience
• Computer science background with an intellectual rigour.
• Proven track record of ownership and delivery.
