Equity Derivatives Finance Manager recruitment

Equity derivatives is a key business within Global Markets Equities. The products offered globally include flow and exotic derivatives, corporate and private equity solutions, fund and hybrid derivatives.

A Finance Manager for Equity Derivs is required to perform a key business partnership function with Senior Equity Derivs Business heads in London and will typically focus on one or more desks within the regional business.

Responsibilities:

The individual will be expected to operate in a very broad sense across all aspects of Finance relating to the specific desks and across the regional business as a whole where relevant.

The Finance Manager acts as the coordinator with other key Finance functions as well as acting as a key stakeholder to the output of the production and support functions of Global Business Services.

Candidate Requirements

Technical

• An Accountancy qualification ACA, CIMA, or similar e.g. MBA, CFA with first time passes.

• A Strong mathematical based degree.

• Strong technical knowledge of Equity Derivatives – the portfolio encompasses the whole spectrum of derivative products from flow through structured and on to corporate transactions.

• An appreciation of the control environment.

• An understanding of derivative financial products and risks.

• Ability to analyse and represent meaningful management information in the role of independent function, covering revenue, profitability and return, balance sheet.

• Detailed knowledge of balance sheet, capital and VaR.

• Strong communication skills – this role is the key analytics face off to senior management.

• The ability to deliver presentations to senior management.

• Previous management experience (both direct and virtual).

• Strong analysis problem solving skills with a creative and proactive approach.

• Strong networking and relationship skills, with the ability to work through virtual teams and leverage other departments and functions to achieve Deutsche Bank objectives.

• Experience of compiling management reports in a global, complex business environment.

• Sophisticated use of Excel PowerPoint.

• Attention to detail.
