Department Overview

The Equity Derivatives Group Middle Office team provide high level support to both the Equity Derivatives Group (EDG) and the Equity Funds Structured Markets (EFS) Trading and Sales businesses and interface with our operational partners throughout the organisation.

Main Function

To assist the Delta 1 and ETF Traders as required, ensuring the positions in the risk management system are an accurate reflection of the Bank's books and records and to own the operational risk management of those books:-

Main Duties

*Providing operational support to the Delta1 ETF trading team.
*Trade booking and amendments, position keeping and monitoring of PL.
*Lifecycle management of trading positions.
*Ownership of PL break resolution, equity and cash fails, FOBO breaks.
*Communicating issues and resolutions to / from Operations, Clients and Sales Trading staff.
*Monitoring, booking and controlling corporate actions, including dividends.
*Maintenance of Market Data including dividend curves and index composition.
*Change testing and implementation for new systems, products and processes.
*Regulatory Control and Compliance Management

*Strong understanding of how a Delta1 product and how that product works from Front to back incorporating life cycle events
*Strong understanding of PL and risk of Derivative instruments
*Operates in a control environment ; ensures daily risk is mitigated and looks to actively close control gaps
*Strong proficiency in advanced Excel or Visual Basic
*Previous Middle Office experience with Delta1 and ETF products.
*Educated to degree standard
