Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is a global institutional securities house covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives and delta one activities. MSG uses its research and risk management skills to develop equity-based solutions and services for clients internationally.
MSG has an opportunity for an Equity Finance Trader to join the team in London. In this role you will be working in the Arbitrage Division and will be responsible for:
- Identification and execution of trade opportunities within approved markets, limits and products ( including stock lending, futures, options and swaps)
- Managing risks associated with trade execution including market, counterparty and operational risks such as liquidity and settlement
- Daily control and monitoring of complete deal set including active positions and associated equity portfolio exposures (i.e. Greeks, dividend risk), trade funding requirements and PL
- Contribute to the growth of the business via the identification of new trade opportunities and counterparties
To be considered you will:
- Have a complete understanding of the risks associated with trading all approved products and markets
- Have strong relationships within the European Equity Finance market across all counterparty types on both the demand and supply side
- Possess a high level of numerical expertise, with strong financial analysis and modelling skills and excellent problem solving abilities
- Have strong Excel skills sufficient to create the tools necessary to perform the role effectively
- Think commercially, be entrepreneurial in your approach, driven and tenacious
- Hold the relevant academic qualifications, be FSA authorised and possess a high level of technical understanding of products
- Be able to interact and build strong working partnerships at all levels with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Submit a covering letter and concise resume as one document
