Equity Flow Trade Support, Director

Equity Flow Trade Support opening at Director level, working for a very well-established and leading international Financial Services firm based in the Docklands.

As a Director working in the Equity Flow Trade Support team you will be providing support to the Equity Derivative Single Name, Index, Convertible Bond trading desks and Global Capital Markets business. The team's core focus is to set up products, exercise T+0 trade capture controls, event management, trade reporting and all key reconciliations. You are also responsible for the growth and individual development of your team members including supervising their daily duties, due diligence, appraisals and regular one-on-one performance feedback.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

-Managing a team of 4 people including personal development and appraisals.

-Defining team objectives, delivery of mid-year and end of year reviews.

-Supervising the due diligence process and management of daily trade processes.

-Controlling daily work flow.

-Being the first point of contact for all Front Office personnel.

-Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships with Operation teams, Financial Controllers and Front Office Risk Managers.

-Working towards departmental and overall business growth strategies locally and globally.

-Involved in system improvements, identifying better and more efficient processes.

-Managing tactical agenda enhancing control frameworks.

-Conducting weekly and monthly reporting of KRIs in relation to team activities.

To qualify for the role you must have:

-Degree (preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Accounting Finance).

-Robust understanding of front-to-back lifecycle of derivative products.

-Solid knowledge of Derivatives, ideally in OTC and Listed Options.

-Worked in a similar role with proven line management experience.

-Proven experience of understanding individual needs, creating learning and development plans, understand work personalities and tailor methods so that staff perform to best abilities.

-Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to cement relationships.

-Strong organisational and time management skills.

-Strong leadership characteristics and skills.

-Ability to think laterally, recognise opportunities for system/ process improvements.

-Ability to understand complex problems and drive projects forward.
