Executive Director – Equity Index Products – NY

 

In partnership with, and reporting directly to the Managing Director, Equity Index Products Services, the Executive Director, will be a lead contributor to the development, execution and management of the global service strategy for the Equity Products business line. This role is responsible for creating and managing goals and priorities for the expansion of the equity product’s services and creating and implementing a vision for service innovation and organic and inorganic growth opportunities. Extensive collaboration, coordination, leadership, and teamwork are required with the Client Development Sales team, other internal senior level management as well as external networks and relationships.

 

Key Elements of the Role

• Lead development of cleared equity business

• Serve as business line liaison to OTC and clearing solutions team

• In collaboration with the MD, OTC, manage the development, execution and successful implementation of OTC initiatives relating to the product complexities.

• In partnership with the supervising MD, establish and own revenue targets for the Equity Index services

• Actively interface with Client Development Sales (CDS) Segment teams to understand client needs and develop strategies for targeted customer segments.

• As necessary, be the voice and senior representative of the Equity Index product line to the media, industry, conferences, trade shows and associations.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the cash/OTC and listed derivatives marketplaces to enhance understanding of CME Group’s strategic positioning as it relates to the product complex.

• Develop an understanding of all the other CME Business Lines in order to help facilitate cross product development and enhance cross sell opportunities.

 

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience managing a derivatives business and 4-7+ years in Equity Index products with strong knowledge of OTC products.

• Experience developing and executing successful business strategies and plans.

• Strong customer service skills and demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization including senior level management.

• Well-developed business acumen and business management skills, complemented by strategic expertise and sound business judgment.

• Proven abilities to influence others and to achieve tangible business results.

• Experience leading teams and others in a matrix environment.

• Bachelor’s degree, with MBA preferred.

• Travel required, 25-35%
