Equity MIS Analyst recruitment

Institutional Banking Markets (IBM) is responsible for the provision of products and services to nearly 3000 major corporate, institutional and government clients. This is achieved through origination, structuring and execution of on and off balance sheet products that are enhanced through the efficient application of taxation, accounting, risk and capital management technologies. Institutional Banking Markets is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions for the Bank's corporate and government clients.
Role Purpose:
Provide profitability and related information to help Institutional Equities (IE) management team and staff understand current business performance and future business potential through the provision of valuable internal and external indicators.
Build the MIS capability within Institutional Equities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for building the MIS Capability within IE, identifying gaps and leading MIS team if required at a later stage
- Provide proactive, accurate and timely MIS to the Cash Equities team and Institutional Equities leadership team
- Analyse product revenue and trends across Cash Equities team to identify opportunities linked to strategy for improved future revenue outcome
- Collation of business data and the production of reports to be used as tools for decision making.
- Provide a set of key performance indicators by which IE can maximize the performance of a team
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly packs for IE Leadership
- Proactively identify activity trends for management consideration that have the potential of elevating future business performance
- Prepare business review and strategic paper to assist decision making
- Work with IBM MIS team, Heads of Finance and Operations to develop consistent sales, operational and reporting process
- Coordinate with Finance, Operations and IT Systems to ensure accurate revenue outcome, resolve any product revenue issues impacting Cash Equities team
- Responsible for providing business requirements and subject matter expertise for MIS project, document procedures and processes to be communicated amongst Cash Equities team
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from the business to support risk paper, client review etc
- Identify and implement efficient processes to clean internal and external data, process data and provide relevant health indicators for the management team
- Provide high level customer services to internal customers.
- Ensure performance results and performance measures are reported in a timely and accurate manner, and communicated in a way well understood by the business
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Essential
- Proven relevant experience in a similar role with strong equities knowledge
- Previous experience within a brokerage business
- Strong Finance knowledge
- Chartered accountant qualified
- Excellent MIS skills, including the provision of proactive, upfront analysis as well as 'after the event' analysis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good excel, macro skills

- Salesforce systems experience
