Equity Operations Settlement Specialist
This position is involved with daily processing, clearing and settling exchange and broker to broker equity trades. The role involves participation in the process of on-boarding through cleaning up of aged fails.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of Trade date Reconciliations from T+1
- Work with IT to create intra-day monitoring tools for trade processing
- Speak directly with clients and foreign affiliates new setups, testing and daily issues
- Automation of current manual processes
- In conjunction with business develop and IT, create project plans for new initiatives and act as the main point of contact
- Improve recon process with DTC/NSCC
- Maintenance of current and creating new reports for Key Performance Indicators
- Creation and periodic updates of operating procedures

- Operations, Stock Loan, IT, and Foreign Offices
- Clients
- Other DTCC Clearing Firms
- Regulatory Bodies
- Vendors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- General knowledge of the securities industry
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to lead projects
- Desire to take on new roles and responsibilities
- DTCC/NSCC experience preferred
