The Company
Due to business growth an opportunity has arisen to join a market leading Equity specialist. They are now looking for a dynamic Equity Trade Support Assistant Manager to join their middle office team in Hong Kong.
The Role
To be a successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
- Completing EOD process and ensuring all reconciliations and reports in the area are completed
- Trade booking, trade maintenance and appropriate reconciliations
- Analysing trading patterns to help identify and escalate potential fraudulent
- Preparing the documentation of all new products or structures relating to the area, collating information from the team to identify any process weaknesses
- Liaising with the trading floor to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of trader queries
- Assisting for developing new systems and promoting process solutions among the team where gaps are identified
- New systems and regular releases require the individual to manage and be responsible for testing and the timely release of new functionality
- Assisting in project through its life cycle and ensuring functions work together to meet deadlines
Your Profile
The individual will have the following skills:
- Degree holder in finance or commerce
- 5 years relevant Equity experience
- Proven track record in supporting Equity/Equity Derivatives activities in investment banks
- Has an extensive knowledge of key Equity/Equity Derivative strategies and market complexities (flow and exotic)
- Full understanding of the front to back Operations process e.g. transaction management, settlement, corporate actions, cash flows, reconciliation and confirmations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Must be attentive to detail, proactive and flexible
