Equity Portfolio Management (PM) Product Manager recruitment

The Role
Bloomberg is looking for an Equity PM Manager to join our Equity and Portfolio Analytics team in New York. The Equity PM Product Manager is responsible for revenue growth with respect to the Equity PM market, and the development and adoption of new functionality that allows Bloomberg to maintain a competitive advantage in that market. The successful individual will proactively interact with both our clients and with internal departments to best identify gaps in current functionality to ultimately fill those gaps and to effectively execute their product strategy. The Equity PM Product Manager will manage and motivate their aligned project managers to ensure development objectives are met and that their business plan is executed efficiently. The Equity PM Product Manager will be responsible for aligning their product's strategic vision across regions and will support the emerging market strategy where applicable, ultimately striving to deliver a global product.

Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement overall vision and strategy for core product to service equity portfolio managers and analysts of buy-side institutions
- Develop strategic plan to further Bloomberg's market position in equity markets
- Expressing Bloomberg's Equity PM product strategy in well-thought-out, innovative, and intuitive product designs while working on a daily basis with Bloomberg's RD department to drive and oversee the development of our Equity PM product set
- Utilize knowledge of existing market, competitor products and the regulatory environment to identify opportunities to differentiate products and gain market share
- Identify and review new products and opportunities
- Prioritize development initiatives
- Ensure that development and strategies within core product extend to peripheral businesses such as electronic trading/order management systems and data products

Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as an Equity Portfolio Manager, and/or at a financial technology vendor building Equity products
- Must have experience partnering with business unit leaders, developing strategic plans, managing development projects and leading the business and finance activities of a high revenue business
- Strong leadership presence and strategic skills required
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills are essential
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks are required
- Detailed understanding of regulation and market structure is an advantage
- Prior experience using the Bloomberg Professional is preferred
