Institutional Banking Markets (IBM) provide institutional clients with solutions across the debt to equity capital spectrum, payment systems, risk management and other banking services. We call this proposition 'Total Capital Solutions'.

The Team:
The Equity Products Group is responsible for end-to-end product management of the suite of equity products that span IBM and partner-channels. This includes responsibility for product design and delivery, market-making and pricing, deal management, and all facets of portfolio risk management arising from sales-led activity. Core product competencies include all forms of equity derivatives, from single-stock, index and basket both in OTC and ETO, through stock swap and repurchase, to vanilla and higher option-variants.
Role Purpose:
You will use your product and industry knowledge to identify, design and deliver new products and initiatives within the Bank's capabilities which deliver value to customers and shareholders. You will engage with product sponsors and stakeholders to deliver new products and initiatives and assist in creating a greater awareness of EPG products and product capabilities
KeyAccountabilities:
- Utilise an in-depth understanding of listed and OTC equity and derivative products, industry trends and the Bank's capabilities - people, technology, strength and productivity - to identify, design and deliver new products and initiatives for EPG that enhance the financial wellbeing of both retail and institutional customers, and create long term value for our customers, shareholders and our people.
- Product development and project management work directly leading to new products or product variations within EPG in accordance with the IBM Product Development Framework and maintaining product approval archives
- Attendance at and input into regular product forums - including work to analyse, prioritise and rank opportunities for the product pipeline
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and support functions while displaying the Bank's values of integrity, collaboration, excellence, accountability and service.
- Support of and contribution to EPG revenue targets through delivery of new products and initiatives in a timely manner. Maintaining product development costs within budget and regularly monitoring financial viability of products
- Monitor risks within EPG and actively manage and escalate those risks where required
- Remain abreast of internal policy changes, regulatory changes and tax changes impacting the EPG business and determine appropriate actions to ensure the EPG business remains compliant
- Ensure the ongoing management of products through their life cycle is supported by robust procedures and appropriate teams, and conducting Line 1 oversight of these procedures. Assist those teams with life cycle processes as required. Take ownership of overall product management and seek continuous improvement of these processes.
Qualificationsand Experience Required:
- Extensive financial products experience, including equities and derivatives
- Demonstrated ability in the end-to-end delivery of products
- Strong knowledge of the tax, legal and compliance environment for equity products
- Ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and engage the support of and influence those stakeholders to facilitate product delivery
- Ability to identify risks and define and implement controls to mitigate those risks
