Equity Research Analyst – Global Healthcare and Technology recruitment

The Global Healthcare/Technology Analyst will be part of our Franklin Global team with a focus on core growth companies with at least $2 billion in market-cap.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Screen relevant universes to identify those companies with sustainable business models, strong free cash flow characteristics and a management team that has demonstrated the ability to reinvest the case and earn reasonable returns.
- Conduct independent research by traveling to visit with company management, competitors, customers and other industry contacts.
- Perform thorough fundamental analysis of a company’s business and financial position; including cash flow analysis, balance sheet and income statement evaluations.
- Compile data from multiple sources and develop detailed financial models on covered companies.
- Develop long-term earnings models to support an independent investment valuation and recommendation.
- Initiate and maintain written and verbal communication with portfolio managers.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- 5-7 years of equity research experience covering global/international healthcare and/or technology companies.
- CFA and/or an MBA highly preferred.
- Buy-side experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cash flow and balance sheet analysis
- Ability to build detailed financial models is required.
- Demonstrated analytical thinker displaying commitment to investment opinions while being open to listening and learning from others.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate financial analysis and recommendations.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
