Equity Research Analysts recruitment
Due to successful delivery of recent opportunities, Charles Levick is now actively recruiting for a select number of highly reputable clients (including an Equities Broker and Investment Bank) Equity Research divisions. Whilst there are differences in the size and structure of these businesses, the roles and subsequent candidate criteria are very similar. Crucially, these organisations are offering Research opportunities at an entry-level for top tier candidates with demonstrable ability and skills to succeed in this field. In return, they are offering a rare opportunity to join highly reputable firms in this field with market rate salaries, progression and fantastic working environments.
With a focus on the sell-side, these roles core responsibilities include; conducting and compiling in-depth financial research and commentary on companies / countries in sector-specific teams, developing earnings and cash-flow financial models, provide valuations metrics, liaise with clients to provide concrete financial evidence and commentary of companies or countries performance, proof-reading documents of research to ensure their numerical and grammatical accuracy, whilst also developing these skills in the longer-term to grow into Lead Analysts in these sectors. In terms of candidate criteria, it is a prerequisite applicants are specifically seeking Equity Research roles and not various disciplines within Financial Services. The roles are highly technical in content and typically involve early starts – circa 7am – so location is also a factor for interested applicants, who must be strong academic performers; a related degree in a top rated university, ideally newly qualified ACA in one of the Big 4 Accountancy firms, undertaking the CFA qualification or with an intention to do so. Moreover, candidates must be strong influencers, able to articulate their assessments and opinions on company / country performance with gravitas, in a measured, logical and structured way, with strong spoken and written English skills mandatory, due to the nature of producing reports and client contact.
