Equity Research Associate
As a Research Associate, you will be required to perform extensive fundamental research and analysis of companies in the Specialty Pharmaceuticals sector, which includes reading and synthesizing information quickly, conducting primary and secondary research, building integrated financial models, and writing and communicating effectively to internal and external constituents, such as company managements, sales, trading, and institutional clients. Our role is to get the best information and analyses to our clients on a timely manner, and as such, the successful candidate should be able to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Create integrated financial statement models
- Prepare/produce written reports covering company and industry analysis, earnings results, presentations and recommendations to clients
- Participate in company management interviews and communication to develop and maintain sources of information in preparation of analyses
- Answer inquiries and communicate with sales and clients regarding stocks or industry groups
Desired Skills and Experience:
Successful candidates require a high level of curiosity, strong work ethic and motivation. Further, we are seeking:
- Previous work experience within equity research is ideal, but investment banking, or related financial field or role considered
- Experience in healthcare a plus but not required
- Series 7, 63, 86 87 licenses a plus
- Superior financial modeling skills and an attention to detail (solid knowledge of excel)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Academic excellence, a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent, and/or an MBA or CFA designation
