Equity Research Associate, Banks coverage
We are working with a leading broker, who are now looking to add an equity research associate to their sell side banks team. The focus of the role will be UK and European banks, and you can expect to assist the leading analysts with their equity research. In time, it is hoped that you will have primary stock coverage yourself.
Day to day, you will work on the writing of equity research, financial modeling and analysis, meeting companies, listening to company announcements, attending client meetings.
They are intetested in meeting exceptional professionals who will have a background as follows:
- equity research analysts with other banks teams
- chartered accountants with very good knowledge and understanding of the banking industry
- strategy consultants with firms like McKinsey or Oliver Wyman
- investment bankers with financial services client experience and who are keen on making the move into equity research
- you must have very good communication skills and the passion to sell and market your investment ideas to your clients
- at the first interview you must be able to talk with intelligence about financial markets
