Junior Technology Analyst

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a strong interest in the TMT sector, ideally from an industry or a professional services background. Candidates are likely to have a minimum of two years experience. The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be financially aware and comfortable, with training, developing complex financial models. In return we are offering an opportunity for the successful candidate to gradually establish their own proprietary research coverage as part of a rapidly expanding global technology research franchise

External relationships:

Clients include Chairmen, CEOs, Finance Directors and/or Investor Relations officers of quoted companies.

Internal relationships

: Business development team, Technology Research team, Investor Access team, Institutional sales team and members of Edison's Executive Board.

Salary

: £30k to £40k depending on experience

Hours:

8.30am - 5.30pm

Location

: High Holborn, London

Main duties of the post:

To provide broad based research and analytical support to a technology equities research team.

Carry out web and telephone research on companies and industry subsectors. Present conclusions.

Build and maintain financial forecast models on technology companies.

Build and maintain financial screens using financial platforms (Bloomberg, Thomson etc)

Provide some administration support for team members.

Knowledge and Experience required:

Minimum two years work experience within the technology industry or the professional services field.

Ability to write concise and well argued reports.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

A good understanding of what it takes to maintain and develop the most productive client relationships.

Must be comfortable working towards defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

Must be able to quickly understand the client, their products and their industry.

Beyond an initial training period must be able to understand Edison products and their relevance for clients in today's capital markets.
