The Equity Sponsor Group is a Debt Capital Markets business that focuses on senior debt cash flow financing with private equity firms in the middle market. Transactions would include leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, refinancings, etc. The transactions are typically highly leveraged and complex. The group has over 100+ private equity relationships and has been in business for over 15 years. The preferred location base for this role is in our NYC office.

Essential functions:

? Ability to develop and cultivate relationships in the private equity community

? Strong understanding of the leverage finance market as well as PNC's risk tolerance limits to structure and execute complex transactions within ESG

? Provide senior transaction leadership primarily for lead managed transactions in the private equity space

? Ability to lead a transaction team of 3-5 people within the Equity Sponsor Group (ESG) to provide strong execution

? Actively encourages teamwork across business segments and works effectively with all constituencies involved in processing transactions from start to finish (groups involved would include Debt Capital Markets, Credit, Treasury Management as well as other product groups)

? Works to help the career development of individuals within the ESG

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

? Bachelors degree in accounting or finance

? MBA preferred

? A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience structuring complex and highly leveraged transactions along with growing significant sponsor relationships

Knowledge of:

? Leverage finance market and equity sponsor community

? PNC Bank's credit policies and credit risk tolerance

? PNC Bank's non-credit products

Skilled at:

? Developing sponsor relationships

? Assessing risk and structuring complex loans to mitigate risks

? Transaction leadership

? Negotiating and verbal/written communication
