Equity Support Analyst recruitment
The Equity Support Analyst will be responsible for providing first level support to internal and external users on Newedge trading systems or Direct Market Access (DMA) solutions, will interact directly with clients, internal staff, vendor and exchanges.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct trade mitigation with exchanges in cases of business interruption
- Resolve previous day trade discrepancies and real time production issues for all electronic trading customers--both internal and external
- Confirm order status, position and cancel orders when necessary for internal and external clients
- Inform clients of loss of connectivity to Exchanges
- Proactive monitoring of orders and prices; notify users of rejection messages with an explanation
- Report bugs and enhancement requests to the various ISVs and open tickets
- Perform daily market tests (pre-open Exchange / system testing)
- Test exchange and system upgrades in simulation and production environments
- Manage and track issues
- Escalate issues and follow up on progress
- Monitor post-trade risk systems
- Demonstrate e-trading systems
- Sponsored DMA risk system validation and monitoring
- Conduct front end testing for Exchange / EMS upgrades
Qualifications Include:
- 5+ years of experience with trade systems
- Knowledge of globally traded electronic exchange products
- Must have a demonstrated track record of technically supporting online transactions
- Exposure to E-Trading ISV platforms such as ULLink, Precise, Lava, RealTick, etc.
- Solid knowledge and experience using PC software including MS Office
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Ability to multitask in high pressure situations
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to listen, assess, recommend and resolve issues on a timely basis
- Experience in application support, analysis, and troubleshooting software applications
- Familiar with back-office and clearing functions
