Application Support Specialist
Looking for strong candidate to join our team of Investment Banking Application Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a balance of:
Technical skills – Solid general knowledge and capabilities in scripting languages, databases, SQL, networking, market data, Linux, Windows and application configuration.
Business knowledge – Candidate should be looking to build upon a solid knowledge base in global finance, Investment Banking, Equities, trade workflows, and basic knowledge of Option pricing and structured/exotic products. At minimum candidate must have basic knowledge of exchanges and how they work.
Troubleshooting expertise – The ability to manage a support situation: determine and understand impact from an outage, provide the proper level of communication, think outside the box for workarounds, bring in the appropriate resources, persistence in working toward restoration of service, follow up with root cause analysis and completion of action plan.
In addition to these skill sets, we are looking for a hard working, highly motivated individual who is comfortable in a trading environment. Excellent communication skills, follow through, and relationship building skills required.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience working in a high pressure, time sensitive environment.
Experience in ECN’s, Smart Order Routers, feed handlers, strong Unix, and SQL are a plus.
