JOB DESCRIPTION:
The firm is seeking to add an energetic, highly skilled and motivated team player to its equity trading team.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enter and exit equity positions as efficiently as possible, as determined by both price and time to order fulfillment
- Manage dispersion across all equity client accounts
- Maintain cash and rebalance accounts to target specifications
- Actively manage existing and develop new broker relationships to ensure best execution
- Analyze market conditions, social economic data, and financial information (where practicable) for both existing and prospective markets
- Evaluate and mitigate the financial, regulatory and operational risks encountered by the trading department
- Maintain a thorough understanding of and be able to explain stock market terms, firm holdings, strategies, vehicles and operational processes to client due diligence teams
- Works closely with senior management and the compliance team to ensure Firm, Client and Regulatory guidelines are consistently followed
- Must be able to assist with special projects as needed
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate and/or master's degree(s) from an accredited institution is required
- Demonstrated record of outstanding academic and professional performance
- Minimum of three (3) years equity trading experience (across multiple asset-classes is preferred)
- Prior trading experience with a robust trade order management system and SMA platforms is highly desirable
- Strong analytical ability with an equally strong ability to communicate complicated concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Must be team oriented and committed to sharing information, as appropriate, with all parties involved in a timely manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
