Equity/Long Short Portfolio Manager – Major Global Hedge Fund – London recruitment
It is vital that the candidate has at least five years track record as a successful portfolio manager, strong risk management principles and experience managing sizable portfolios. For the Equity business, various sectors will be considered. More of a focus is a strong record of risk management. The firm is looking for a portfolio manager currently running successful market neutral Equity long-short strategies with demonstrable consistent returns. This is a major opportunity for a driven independent portfolio manager to take the next step in their career as they take advantage of large scale capital allocation, the ability to build a team and an attractive pay-out structure linked to fund performance.
Candidates must have:
• Experience as an Equity Long Short Portfolio Manager or as a Senior equity proprietary trader in a variety of sectors
• Demonstrated investment acumen and a strong performance track record
• A passion for total return investing within a guideline-constrained environment
• Strong skills and experience in investment research, risk modelling, and portfolio construction
