Job Description
The Commercial Mortgage Broker and Loan Originator positions involve facilitating mortgage transactions, mezzanine/bridge loans, hard money loans, and equity placement. It is essential to form and maintain over-the-phone and in-person relationships with key lenders, including local and national banks, life insurance companies, CMBS conduits, Fannie Mae lenders, and strategic partnerships with private lending Institutions.
Through our training program, agents will have access to industry-leading marketing tools and collateral materials. Our associates also have the opportunity to exclusively work in their own New York City submarket.
Job Responsibilities:
• Business Development
• Forming and Maintaining Relationships with Key Lenders and Clients
• Assessing and Evaluating Borrowers
• Lone Assistance to Current and Potential Clients
• Negotiation with Lenders and Financial Institutions
Minimum Requirements:
• Must Possess or be in the Process of Obtaining a New York State Real Estate License
• Prior Experience in Real Estate Credit Analysis: Preference for Direct Real Estate Lending and Property Underwriting
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills, Qualitative Orientation; Ability to Manage Dynamic Priorities
• Solid Understanding of Real Estate Property Valuation Process
• Familiarity with Legal Documentation and Mortgage Risk Issue
• Credit Skills with Financial Statement Analysis and Capital Market Product Knowledge
• Team Player with Ability to Build Relationships Across Different Constituents in the Firm
