ERISA Client Operations Analyst recruitment
ERISA Client Operations is a relatively new group
within BlackRock and is responsible for centralizing the capture
and distribution of data to support BlackRock's and our clients'
reporting and disclosure obligations under the terms of
ERISA.
ERISA Client Operations will report into the Global
Head of Client Services which represents Client Contracting, Order
Management and Reporting. As an Associate within ERISA Client
Operations, you will work closely with the institutional and retail
sales team, product business owners, and Legal Compliance to
ensure compliance with various reporting and disclosure
requirements under ERISA. In particular, you will be responsible
for having an in depth knowledge of BlackRock's ERISA reporting and
disclosure obligations and practices in connection with Form 5500
Schedule C reporting, Form 5500 filings for BlackRock's "direct
filing entities" (commonly known as "DFEs"), ERISA plan sponsor
disclosures, and ERISA plan participant disclosures and reporting.
You will support a growing area in a dynamic and challenging

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the development and successful
implementation of ERISA Client Operations strategy and
vision. - Partnering with the product business owners, the
sales teams and Legal Compliance to design, implement and
maintain processes that support the preparation and production of
required ERISA reporting and disclosure. - Partnering with Legal Compliance to manage
exceptions and ensure escalation policies are appropriately
followed. - Supporting the sales teams in responding to
client inquiries regarding BlackRock's ERISA reporting and
disclosure. - Provide service and support to our counterparts
to ensure accurately and timely reporting. - Accurately capturing and recording relevant data
on an ongoing basis and maintaining the various databases or data
repositories. - Testing development and enhancements to ERISA
reporting/disclosure database and manual data capture
processes. - Ensuring that all completed ERISA reporting and
disclosures are properly documented and tracked. - Supporting the preparation and production of
reports and disclosures and related issue resolution. - Supporting the design and implementation of
processes that respond to new and changed reporting
requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years'
experience with respect to operational processes in relation to
ERISA client reporting needs within the asset management
industry.
In addition:
- Knowledge and understanding of ERISA and
regulations under ERISA. - Ability to independently manage your own
workload with minimal guidance. - Experience as a Business Analyst including
documentation of both current and new business processes, writing
business requirements and functional specifications, developing
training materials. - Exemplary communication (verbal and written) and
interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with both
internal and external clients at all levels and
regions. - Strongly proficient on standard software
(e.g. Microsoft Office). - Excellent attention to detail, organization, and
presentation skills. - Team player - both with regard to your direct
Group as well as with those whom you support. - Possess excellent time management and
prioritization skills with the ability to manage effectively
expectations of internal and external clients. - Flexible and open to accepting new challenges;
able to work effectively and efficiently on multiple projects
simultaneously in a fast-paced, demanding and ever-changing
environment while maintaining the highest standards and attention
to detail. - Demonstrated ability to balance client needs
with BlackRock's policies and operational procedures; possess
excellent regulatory and technical awareness in order to understand
associated risks and provide innovative, risk-free and
compliance-friendly solutions.
