ERP Assurance Consultant/Senior Consultant

Advisory's ERP Assurance service line takes a risk–based approach to business processes, systems integrity, and security to fully understand an organization's risk and control tolerance, and balance that against established organizational control objectives and integrity techniques. ERP Assurance professionals provide control design and implementation services during process change and software implementation projects in enterprise–wide application systems such as SAP and Oracle. ERP Assurance utilizes a methodology that is unique to the industry. The methodology helps it's professionals to create an efficient control process fully integrated into the development methodology, delivering controlled solutions without slowing the project schedule.
Job Duties:
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards
- Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement
- Understand complex business and information technology management processes
- Execute advanced services and supervise staff in delivering basic services
- Assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support service offering or industry projects
- Understand clients' business environment and basic risk management approaches
- Demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, Deloitte Touche products and service lines
- Actively participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions
- Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo
- Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations
- Facilitate use of technology–based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement profitability
- Participate in and actively support mentoring relationships within practice
- Excellent potential for 1) playing lead role in designated tasks of the project team in gathering, organizing and analyzing data; 2) making major contributions in assuring products/deliverables meet contract/work plan and; 3) strong potential for growth and acceptance of additional responsibilities
- Experience in information systems audit and assurance – Consultant (1–3 years) and Senior Consultant (3+ years)
- Control implementation experience in SAP and/or Oracle (with JD Edwards and PeopleSoft experience, a plus) – Consultant (1–3 years) and Senior Consultant (3+ years)
- Strong background in the following:
o Controls re–engineering
o Application security implementation
o Distributed system administration and recovery
o Database administration
o Security auditing techniques
o Computer control environments
o ERP control implementation in medium to large computer environments
o Operating systems
o Access control software
o Telecommunications - Ability to play a lead role in designated tasks of the project team in gathering, organizing and analyzing data
- Open to travel requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, or Information Systems
- Experience with Sarbanes Oxley 404 internal control attest and readiness requirements
- CISA, CISSP, CIA and/or Packaged Application Certification preferred
