Estimator - Repairs Maintenance
My client is a leading Maintenance and Refurbishment contractor delivering work for both public sector and private sector clients. Their scope of work is very diverse and can range from small works up to £multimillion property repairs frameworks. This can include Decent Homes, Voids, Cyclical and External Decoration, Painting, Concrete Repairs, Office / Commercial Fit Out, Retail Maintenance / Refurbishment etc.
You be the key person responsible for estimating and preparing budgets for specific projects of the above tenders ranging from £10k - £2m:
Daily Duties
Undertake the preparation and processing of quotations, bids and tenders within client deadlines.
Prepare Supplier and Sub-contractor enquiries, scrutinise quotations and undertake selection process.
Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors proposal documents to support bids.
Produce breakdowns, substantiation and undertake value engineering process to meet client budgetary requirements
Prepare cash flow forecasts for designated projects.
Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers when necessary.
Ensure all contract documentation is representative of offer and reports, cost data and supporting information is accurate and made available at the appropriate time.
Undertake surveying duties on contracts as directed by and reporting to the Area Manager including site measurement, managing subcontractor packages and payments, material scheduling and ordering, applications for payment, pricing variations and settlement of accounts with clients.
Production of profit loss reports on contracts.
