Estimator/Project Manager-Electrical Job in Hayward 94545, California US
Currently recruiting for an Electrical Project Manager/Estimator position with one of the Bay Area's oldest and largest Industrial Contractor's.
Must have at least 7 years estimating experience related to Industrial Electrical Industry and Installation.
Responsibilities will include preparing complete cost estimates for electrical transmission, distribution, substation and industrial power and controls.
Understand and monitor program of work to ensure estimates are completed prior to deadlines.
Schedule and attend field walk-downs with customer, subcontractor and construction personnel to understand and determine constructibility requirements.
Perform field take-offs / evaluations for estimate preparation.
Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency.
Participate in estimate review process with internal and external stake holders.
Assist construction personnel throughout the project life-cycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimate.
Assist in the preparation and submission of Change Orders.
Follow-up at the end of a project to close any loops in the estimating process.
This position may also have some Project Management duties as well, which will include:
Preparation of project construction schedules
Submission of Request for Information to clients
Acting as main point of contact for projects and facilitating conference calls
Coordinating meetings, scheduling updates, submitting deliverables and addressing outstanding "open items" as requested by clients
