ETD Clearing Team recruitment
Job Purpose:
The primary focus of this role will be to match trades on multiple EMEA markets via the Clearvision clearing platform. This will be on behalf of internal and external clients. There is a need to build relationships with global middle offices and to contribute to the development of the team by assisting with customized solutions The day to day role entails trade entry, break investigation and resolution in a timely manner and working on various projects and regulatory requirements. The candidate should have demonstrable leadership and team building skills as well as significant product knowledge and being an excellent verbal and written communicator. The Clearing Representative will also have to be conversant in technology since he will support queries. Also they will be required to assist in ad hoc projects. Knowledge of most EMEA Exchange systems is advantageous.
The responsibilities of the function can be broken down into 4 components:
- Servicing ETD Clients;
- Support other lines of businesses in ETD;
- Business Development Control;
- Business Administration
The jobholder should be able to work well in a team environment and should be able to function without close supervision. This role will involve shift work and the candidate will need to be flexible as they range from 8am until Midnight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clear trades on Clearvision for the following markets, ICE, LIFFE, EUREX, IDEM, MEFF, IDEM, EDX, NASDAQomx and Euronext Paris;
- Ensure that trades and break resolutions are performed accurately and in a timely manner;
- Know your account structures in detail ensuring trades are cleared to the correct entities;
- Responsible for the day to day checklists;
- Enhance STP and be pro-active to improve the flow;
- Fully aware of the market risks and make sure they are well under control Market Research;
- Full understanding and capabilities of Citi web portal;
- Support queries from other areas: control, finance, risk, credit;
- Engage other teams within the Bank to share expertise we don't have
Skills
Knowledge/Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have performed a senior clearing role for a significant period of time in a similar sized organization.
- Listed Products experience is necessary;
- Detailed understanding of Front to Back processes to support other operational processes (Client Services, Brokerage);
- Organisation skill and working under pressure;
- Experience in Exchange GUI's;
- Skills Extremely focus and dedicated to deliver a first class service to his clients;
- Excellent communications skills (written / verbal) at all organisational levels;
- Results/task orientated with excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to manage and prioritise effectively and resolve conflicting priorities;
- Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously;
- Take initiatives;
- Good MS Office skills including Access, Excel and MS Powerpoint.
