ETF Wire house/Institutional Sales

BACKGROUND:
PIMCO launched ETF??s in early 2009. Presently, the offering includes 13 ETF??s of which 4 are Active, and 9 are Index based. Current assets under management (AUM) are $2.2 Billion, of which $1.5 Billion was added in 2010, and a goal for $5 Billion in AUM has been set for year-end 2011. Existing distribution consists of major Wirehouses, Turn-Key Asset Management Platforms/TAMPS, top RIA??s, and Institutions.

The ETF team works within these channels on a direct basis, but also works in a highly collaborative fashion across various sales groups within PIMCO. This includes the Retail/Advisor Distribution group, RIA group, Bank Trust, and Institutional teams.

PIMCO is highly committed to the ETF segment and expects exponential growth to take place moving forward.

ROLE:
PIMCO is seeking an ETF Sales person to support its ETF distribution effort with the large Broker-dealers, Wire houses and other institutional investors in New York and eastern seaboard. This person will be responsible for creating a sales strategy for PIMCO??s ETF product set targeting the WH financial advisors, research desks and equity sales forces at the Broker-dealers as well as other institutional ETF prospects. This person will lead the dissemination of product information and analytical research to this audience. This is a newly created position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
?¢ Developing and executing a strategic sales and marketing strategy targeted to the Broker-dealer, Wire house FAs and other institutional clients
?¢ Proactively communicating new product developments, investment strategies, marketing and servicing collateral to existing and prospective investors and interested parties
?¢ Maintaining an ongoing dialogue with key external agents and constituents in the ETF distribution chain, including researchers, analysts, trade desks and others
?¢ Effectively articulate the PIMCO secular and cyclical economic outlook, implications for fixed income markets, and investment strategy.
?¢ Attend and speak in a variety of client settings including meetings, conferences and road shows.
?¢ Serving as an internal and external resource to support sales by existing and servicing programs
?¢ Possess strong sales skills as well as understanding of ETF products and market dynamics

Position Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
?¢ 5+ years of comparable research/sales experience with a track record of success.
?¢ Specific experience with fixed income and the ETF product set and trading platforms.
?¢ Understanding of the competitive landscape with substantial solution based sales experience and a track record of closing deals.
?¢ Advanced degree and/or CFA desirable.
?¢ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
?¢ Proven leadership and strategic planning skills.
?¢ Ability to work well as part of a team.
?¢ Entrepreneurial attitude, self-starter, drive, and ambition.
?¢ Willingness to travel extensively ?" 60%
