ETL Developer
ETL Developer Job Description: A healthcare client of TEKsystems is looking for an ETL Developer (Informatica or Datastage) for a contract to PERMANENT opportunity in Miami, FL. The ETL Developer will be responsible for overall data warehouse design (DW) design, balancing optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors. Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of designing and constructing data warehouses, operational data stores, and data marts that enable informational, analytical management inquiry of well-integrated, subject-oriented historical data. Individual must be comfortable with rapid application development (RAD) techniques and with developing requirements and design specifications for new and existing data warehouses. The position focuses primarily on data modeling and database design, with additional responsibility for business analysis, data acquisitions/access analysis and design, DBMS optimization, recovery/load strategy design, and implementation. The qualified individual will have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience required. Preferred Informatica or ETL certification. Five to seven years of IT with relational database management systems RDBMS, with a minimum of three years experience with an ETL tool Informatica 8.6 or higher. Solid experience using SQL, Erwin and,Oracle 9i. Administering an enterprise wide data warehouse architecture design, experience with hardware, software and processes associated with data warehouse development and administration. Two or more years of experience with data warehouse architecture design required. Strong project management skills required. Healthcare industry experience highly preferred.
