We are currently recruiting for an ETL Developer to join our Information Technology Department located in Rosemont, IL .
The successful applicant will perform ETL and database development for new applications to support business needs and enhance existing applications while meeting established deadlines and requirements.
· Design, code, test and implement applications that interact with managed MS SQL Server and Oracle databases.
· Define and specify relevant production turnover documentation.
· Support of on-going and future software projects.
· Perform quality control, trouble shooting, code review and standard data validation practices prior to production release.
· Complete projects on-time and on-budget.
· Assist in the documentation and cataloging of developed software.
· Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with staff, management team, vendors, and end users.
· Participate in full development life-cycle from requirements gathering, estimating, design, development, and implementation.
· May teach and train other team members in relevant development concepts
· Understands PRA architecture and design standards
Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in information technology or related degree area or 2-5 yrs of related experience and/or training in software systems design and development as well as experience with agile software development practices such as automated unit testing, continuous integration and test-driven development; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Candidates must possess an advanced level of understanding in the functionality of developing software in a Windows environment. Strong ETL programming skills and familiarity with software design, ETL development methodologies, Informatica and PL/SQL a plus. Data warehousing skills, project experience, and/or knowledge also a plus. Must have the ability to understand and assess existing software systems environment and configuration in order to recommend and implement improvements. Demonstrated experience in requirements analysis, planning, design, coding, deployment, maintenance, optimization and documentation of software applications in a multi-tier, distributed, browser-based enterprise computing environment
