Etrading Business Analyst

 

Project Brief:

The development team Credit eTrading IT team is in Front Office facing area. The eTrading platform has users based in London, New York and Asia and there is strong engagement from the business to develop the platform. Current initiatives in the area include algo pricing of CDS Index and corporate bonds; connectivity and aggregation across proto-SEFs and Price distribution for external markets.

Expected Role and Key Responsibilities:

·         Capture system requirements and define appropriate solutions in line with the aims of the business and IT strategy.

·         Produce written specifications, ensuring they are reviewed and validated by users, peers and other stakeholders.

·         Participate in development and testing of components technologies according to the priority and requirements. Autonomous, involved and responsible for specifications provided to development teams.

·         Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic front office environment.

·         Ensure that the deliverables are being completed on time and on schedule, are respecting IT/ business and users expectations

·         Communicating and collaborating closely with other developers and team members (testers, other BAs and production support teams)

·         To propose new technical solutions, discuss and present their ideas in a high level detail

·         Good knowledge on software and distributed systems

·         Help and support the Project Managers, Developers and Support teams in ensuring that the functional knowledge transfer is complete

 

Skills and Qualifications:

·         Strong and proven ability to manage IT development projects in Front Office environment

·         Strong understanding of electronic markets and Credit products

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Good people skills for working with key users in different teams

·         Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

·         Working knowledge of flow credit products ideally and or other fixed income product experience.

 

Other useful skills:

·         Electronic Trading Systems experience

·         Understanding of Market data

·         Knowledge of Bloomberg and Reuters.
