Our client is a financial services group and the pre-eminent Asian-based investment bank with worldwide reach. It provides broad range of innovative solutions tailored to the specific requirements of individual, institutional, corporate and government clients through an international network in 30 countries.

The E-Trading Technology team is geographically spread across our client’s offices worldwide and is an important and expanding business and technology space. The team builds Technology solutions for the bank’s Etrading Application. This role is a Production Service / Run The Bank technical role. There are support people located in various offices globally to ensure a follow the sun support model.

Role / Principal Accountabilities:

This role sits within the Asia Pac Production Services team who are responsible for supporting our front office Fixed Income applications.

The platform is an in-house developed system and series of processes tailored for the businesses requirements.

This role requires the individual to :

Work in a high pressured environment across geographical boundaries and work with many teams across technology to ensure that our production systems are supported to a high standard.

Build strong relationships with the business and gain a good understanding of their processes.

Build strong relationships with other technology groups in vaious offices in the region and globally who we work with and depend on for global and follow the sun cover.

Flexiblity in the working hour is a must. This is a support job, and it might be required to work in various time slots, including morning shift, based on the needs of business.

Skills Experience Required:
 
Good Linux / Unix shell tool experience skills. The successful candidate must be able to quickly analyze and resolve issues on the command line , associated with Unix / Linux.

Excel and Shell Scripting skills an advantage

Experience working with KDB

Experience working with Sybase skills. SQL level. Be able to work through stored procedures, understand the content and be able to discuss intelligently with DBAs and developers on issues.

Experience working with supporting TIBCO. Knowledge of Hawk monitoring of TIBCO processes.

Be able to interrogate and understand output of TIBCO processes and logs from shell command line.

FIX Protocol and Fix Engine Knowledge is critical. Understading of FIX messaging format / structure.

Client on-boarding experience. Used to working with the business with technical knowledge / expertise in this area.

Worked in a front office trader facing environment supporting E-Trading application/similar experience in high frequency low latency application

Experience working with Java. This will enable the candidate to talk with developers.

Attention to detail is a must. The environment requires preciseness and manual errors need to be avoided.

Someone who can look at processes and suggest improvements to overall support structure / processes and work with IT and business management to help improve the IT environment.

The ideal candidate will be a hard working, proactive individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills who has a desire to drive continuous improvement and the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time.
