ETRM Business Analyst – £50-65k
The successful Business Analyst will join an already established energy trading team, supporting their London and other European trading desks across Power, Gas, LPG, LNG, Oil Products, Coal, and Emissions. Sitting between the Front Office and Middle Office desks, you’ll work very closely to the London energy trading business, including regular interaction.
This is a Central London based role with little to no travel needed, but will involve regular communication with other European trading desks. The successful Business Analyst will work in a team to guarantee that my client can operate its trading activities by providing support for the trading systems, whilst making sure that the trading systems are always available and in line with business requirements.
Key Skills Experience Sought:
- Proven experience as an Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) Business Analyst - ESSENTIAL
- Strong understanding of commodity trading - ESSENTIAL
- Solid IT background / understanding - ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience working directly for an energy major or commodity trading house in a business focused role (Risk Analyst, Product Control Analyst, Trader etc) before moving into Business Analysis, giving you a very strong understanding of “the business” from the inside – DESIRABLE
- Strong academic track record inclusive of a Bachelor’s (ESSENTIAL) and ideally also a Master’s degree in a numerate discipline
- Fluency in English (ESSENTIAL) with further knowledge of other European languages including French, German, Italian and Danish (all DESIRABLE)
Salary: £50-65k basic + 20% bonus + excellent benefits inclusive of a 15-20% company pension contribution + 25 days + other core benefits)
