ETRM PreSales / Solutions Consultant – £60-90k basic + 50% bonus

The successful PreSales / Solutions Consultant will have ideally gained 10 years+ commercial Energy Trading Risk Management experience (ideally across Gas, Power and Oil) working both in the business (risk analyst, trader or quant etc) before moving into IT (business analyst, project managers, developer or implementation consultant etc).

Salary: £60-90k basic + 50% bonus + benefits

This role is a hugely client facing role, requiring you to travel with the sales managers or director on client meetings to do demonstrations / presentations on my client’s bespoke ETRM software.  No previous knowledge of my client’s ETRM software is needed, although you’ll have gained significant experience working on an internal or other major external ETRM system (Endur, Zai*Net / Aligne, Allegro, Trinity, Pomax, Symphony, CXL etc).  You will become a subject matter expert on ETRM and specifically on my client’s ETRM software, and as such will be able to answer questions from clients both in presentations and over the phone.

Travel is a core part of this role, but this will involve flying to meet clients on average once per week in Europe and most of the time, flying back on the same day, so there won’t be much overnight time spent away from London.

This role would be ideal for someone who started their career as an energy risk analyst, trader or quant, then went into ETRM business analysis or implementation consulting either for another ETRM software firm or in-house within an energy major and now is looking for a new challenge, with lots of variety but being able to come home and see your friends and family every evening.

This role is to support the sales managers or director, so you won’t be doing any sales as such (this is what the sales managers or director does), but you will be selling the software through demonstrations etc and making sure the client is happy technically that the software delivers what they need.  As such, this role will pay a slightly higher basic salary (probably 10% uplift) with an uncapped 50%+ bonus on top, so will be financially a very exciting opportunity for the right Presales / Solutions Consultant.
