Europe and Middle East Managing Director recruitment

The Europe and Middle East Managing Director (EME Director) is responsible for the development and growth of Guidepoint’s European and Middle Eastern operations through direct management of Guidepoint’s UK service team and effective partnership with Guidepoint’s sales teams to retain and grow new business.   He/she is Guidepoint’s senior executive in Europe and will be expected to:

• Directly manage Guidepoint’s EME service operations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring excellence, accuracy and innovation in servicing time-sensitive client projects.

• Working closely with the sales force, effectively represent Guidepoint’s EME services to current and prospective clients in the institutional investment and corporate industries.

• Cooperate efficiently with the Guidepoint’s service and sales teams in the U.S. and Asia to ensure seamless fulfillment of international research projects and support the sale of EME services to U.S. and Asian clients.

• Oversee the recruiting, selection, training and career development of EME team members, providing clear expectations, consistent communication and confident leadership.

• Grow and enrich Guidepoint’s network of EME advisors through focused strategic recruiting, striking partnerships with other consultancies and expert bodies, and refinement of Guidepoint’s recruiting operations.

• Collaborate effectively with U.S.-base C-level executives (e.g., Director of International Business Development, COO, CFO, General Counsel, Director of Compliance) on corporate planning, compliance and operations.

Requirements

• 7+ years relevant experience working as a research analyst or consultant servicing senior managers in the institutional investment, consulting and/or corporate markets.

• Demonstrated facility managing complex research operations in an efficient and vigilant manner.

• The ability to prioritize effectively in the face of tight deadlines and fluid demands from clients and colleagues in other offices.

• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Exceptional judgment and even-temperament.   The EME Managing Director must earn the loyalty and trust of the EME service team as well as the confidence of U.S. management.

• Polished communicator capable of handling high-profile clients (senior managers at Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Private Equity, Consultancies and Corporations).

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team, developing its skills while optimizing its effectiveness.

• The appetite to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment where innovation and growth are essential to success.

• Undergraduate degree from a competitive university.  Graduate degree preferred.
