European Associate Marketing Director (Brand Champion) recruitment
Cognizant Corporate Marketing is responsible for the strategic development and management of the Cognizant brand. Areas of accountability include brand strategy, message development and tactical brand marketing programmes. Corporate Marketing works closely with regional Field Marketing and Corporate Communications (PR/AR) to develop integrated communications programmes to drive brand awareness and support lead generation across Europe.
The Associate Marketing Director Europe role will be responsible for planning and management of brand marketing programmes and investments across Europe to increase visibility of Cognizant in all key Vertical and geographical markets. The role will also focus on internal awareness, ensuring all employees are familiar with Cognizant's brand positioning, values and identity. To be considered for this role, candidates must have in-depth knowledge and experience of the Business Consulting and IT Services sectors combined with extensive experience in B2B brand marketing.
Although this is a European role, Corporate Marketing is a global organisation and experience of working and collaborating with colleagues in North America and India would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute pan-European brand marketing programmes including advertising, Thought leadership content creation, online and Social Media strategy, C level focused conferences and networking events and direct marketing programmes.
- Create and develop marketing collateral; presentations, brochures, videos, thought leadership and PoVs and localise where required.
- Collaborate with Field Marketing and Corporate Communications to ensure an integrated approach to all marketing programmes.
- Manage agency and contractor resources and third party service providers e.g. approved Advertising, Media buying agencies, designers, writers, media / PR agencies.
- Define and track metrics to assess effectiveness of all Corporate Marketing programmes and initiatives.
- Plan and manage investment and budget items. Ensure a measurable Marketing ROI.
- Ensure that all Corporate Marketing policies and procedures are followed.
- Manage approved marketing and advertising vendors
Skills Experience Required
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of Cognizant's area of business and overall business strategy.
- Thorough understanding and experience in Brand and Digital Marketing
- Thorough understanding and ability to apply marketing concepts, branding and message development skills.
- Global perspective and understanding of business marketplace.
- Strong project management skills.
- Budget management and financial reporting skills for project(s).
- Passion for well-executed deliverables in support of Cognizant business strategy.
- Negotiation, mediation and conflict management skills to resolve complex or disputed issues.
- Able to influence executives within Marketing through relationship building and executive-level presence.
- Leadership skills -- supervision, mentoring and managing Cognizant specialists/analysts and contractors.
- Ability to develop and apply creative, workable solutions to project-related issues.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently.
- Ability to manage projects under tight deadlines.
- Proven experience in building a world-class Corporate Marketing function in Business Consulting or IT Services.
- Required understanding of the clients, companies and competitive landscape.
