European Business Unit Manager (High-Tech Materials / Electronics Telecoms)

Basic salary up to £48k + Bonus, Company Car and Private Medical Cover

A new vacancy for a European Business Unit Manager with leading manufacturer of high-tech materials for the electronics and telecoms industries.

Position Description:
The primary purpose of the role is to profitably grow the business by effectively leading and directing the planning, manufacturing, and marketing of product lines developed for telecoms and general industrial markets. The position has direct responsibility for PL of the business unit, developing and growing sales, optimising profit and meeting marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A Materials background with a strong commercial profile
- A minimum of 3 years' sales experience working in a similar role and environment or experience in a technical customer facing role, together with significant operational experience and a track record of delivering results.
- An Engineering Degree.
- A background in manufacturing with a sound knowledge of the electronics market is preferable and ideally with an understanding of high-tech Material technology.
- Experience working in the telecommunications Market is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ideally based in the Berkshire/Bucks/Oxfordshire/West London area.

Duties will include:
- Development of robust plans and strategies to meet business forecasts.
- Leading the lean initiatives within the Business Unit.
- Lead the Telecoms General Industry BU and operations team to provide premier customer service.
- Lead the Business Unit's outsource activities.
- Work with the Division's engineering team to ensure design specifications meet customer needs.
- Ensure strategic pricing tools are used to set pricing for all the Company's (and outsourced) products.
- Manage team performance ensuring appropriate recruitment, selection, training and development is delivered.
- Travel to Division and customer locations is a key requirement of this role.
