European Head of Prime Client Services Transition & Set-up recruitment

Prime Client Services is responsible for maintaining client relationships post trade execution across asset classes, consulting with clients on operational efficiencies to help process improvements and to help identify balance trends/ key areas which could result in revenue growth.

We aim to integrate ourselves into the operational infrastructure of our clients to make working with UBS Prime Services seamless. To do this we develop a deep understanding of how our clients work and what is important to them – spending time in their offices and conducting detailed service reviews which provide invaluable feedback. We use this feedback in peer group analysis to help drive efficiency on both sides, working with internal groups such as Product Development to improve our competitive edge.

Ours is a global product and we have many clients who require multi-region coverage. Working closely with our counterparts means we can ensure an accurate handover at the end of each time zone.

Responsibilities:
• Management of both a client facing Transition coordinator team and a process driven set-up team.
• Oversight and prioritization of the account setup of all new Prime Services clients. Involves understanding each client's legal, operational, trading, IT and regulatory requirements.
• The product scope the individual will be responsible for will need to cover: equity and fixed income prime brokerage, CDS and IRS intermediation, futures and options clearing. They will also be responsible for covering the listed exchange offering for CDS and IRS that will be coming online next year.

Requirements
• Proven experience of client transition /onboarding at an Investment Bank
• Good understanding of what a Prime Brokerage and Clearing Services business provides for its clients and how they facilitate relationships for other areas of the Investment Bank.
• Strong knowledge of the typical legal agreements that govern a Prime Services relationship, as well as a good understanding of key points in an ISDA.
• Good understanding of fund structures - asset managers and hedge funds.
• Ability to build key relationships with both external and internal clients.
• Able to identify potential risks - legal, regulatory, operational reputational - contained in the onboarding of new clients and determine how these risks can be addressed.
• Ability to constantly refine the process so that it is continuously streamlined, there will be Offshoring of pure processing tasks that the individual will be responsible for overseeing.
