European High Yield Credit Analyst – Senior Associate / Vice President recruitment

In this position, the candidate will be a member of the Morgan Stanley Investment Management Global High Yield Team. The primary objective of this position is to make investment recommendations and conduct in-depth credit analysis of companies in the European high yield corporate bond market.   As a secondary objective, the analyst will also be expected to make recommendations on corporate bonds from both the European Investment Grade market and the Emerging Markets of Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and other countries in the region.  Over time, the candidate should expect to develop portfolio management responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and articulate recommendations for security selection and portfolio strategies to add value to client fixed income portfolios in general and high yield portfolios in particular.
•Generate fundamental research to assess value and identify investment opportunities in the European High Yield, Investment Grade and Eastern Europe Emerging Corporate markets.  This will include the analysis of business models and financial statements of various corporate issuers as well as key structural characteristics of individual securities.
• Perform portfolio analysis to optimise portfolio positioning.
• Participate as a full team member in fixed income management, including new business development and client service.

Skills Required
• Proven experience in High Yield Investment Analysis is required.
• A Bachelor's degree, or an MBA/postgraduate degree, or equivalent.
• CFA preferable.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• European language skills are desirable.
• A strong work ethic, self-motivation, initiative, and a desire to succeed in a dynamic professional investment management business are key skills for the successful candidate.
