European Internal Auditor
A sector leading Financial Services firm, with enviable growth plans has mandated us to search for an Internal Audit professional to lead their European internal audit function and develop a risk assessed audit universe as well as create and execute a four year plan.
Reporting into the CEO on a local basis and functionally to the Global Head of Internal Audit, this is a highly autonomous, stand alone Audit position.
The European Internal Auditor will;-
- Analyse the risks assumed by the business and evaluate the effectiveness of controls designed to address those risks.
- Discuss any issues identified with business management, and agree upon action plans to address these issues. - Produce a risk grading and report for each audited area.
- Take full ownership for work by ensuring all planning objectives have been met, audit work is adequately documented and supports conclusions
- Discuss any issues identified with management and agree upon action plans to address these issues. Contribute to enhancing the overall control environment. The client requires a confident, articulate candidate, who is able to face off with C-level management and interact with colleagues at all levels of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have Business Audit experience from an Investment Bank or Broker Dealer/Trading House
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIA or equivalent Audit or Accounting qualification - Experience of Internal Audit from within the accounting profession or the finance industry.
- Preference will be given to relevant capital markets experience.
- Strong Academic Background
